Raising Films

Pleased to announce I’ve been selected to participate in Raising Films’ Making it Possible 2019 development sessions!  Making It Possible 2019 is supported by ScreenSkills / British Film Institute (BFI) as part of the Future Film Skills programme. Making It Possible will empower successful parent and carer filmmaking applicants to focus on their individual goals, plan a route to achieve them and address the specific barriers and challenges they face.

I’m expecting the arrival of my first baby this week! So this course couldn’t come at a better time! My hope is for the sessions to help me feel inspired and prepared for this new chapter ahead where I’ll learn to strike the balance between career and parenthood. Over the winter my intention is to write my first feature film… so I’ll have my baby in one arm and my laptop in the other! :-) haa!!! Excited! I’ll keep you posted on how I go! xxx

EIFF Talent Lab

Pleased to announce I’ve been selected for this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival’s Talent Lab.

EIFF Talent Lab continues to successfully connect up-and-coming filmmakers with the world’s key film industry players. Thirty Scottish, UK and international participants, a mix of screenwriters, directors and producers, each receive the amazing opportunity to learn from and meet with industry experts in a relaxed and informal environment.”

The Cineskinny On Tour

SLAP is selected to screen at The Skinny’s CineSkinny on Tour

“Anyone with one eye on the Scottish short film scene will know it’s in an artistic purple patch at the moment, with a generation of talented young filmmakers perennially making noteworthy shorts spilling over with wit and invention, often on budgets that couldn’t even be described as shoestring. This short scene is so vibrant, in fact, that we wanted to put together a showcase of some of the best work and take it to a couple of our favourite venues around Scotland.

Among CineSkinny on Tour’s eclectic lineup, expect films about teen motorbike racers, horrific haircuts, turncoat rodents, violent nights out in Glasgow, lanky clowns, wannabe bullfighters, a creepy trip to the loft, the nightmare that is the school playground and a quarter-life crisis down your local chip shop.”
